Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 October 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and EventUtils governing your use of eventutils.com and the EventUtils app. By creating an account, joining an event or recording a payment, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What EventUtils does
EventUtils is a record-keeping and transparency tool for event finances. Organizers can create events, invite participants, record contributions and expenses, share a public ledger, and download reports and receipts. Participants can view event details and record payments they have made.
Important: EventUtils is not a bank, wallet or payment gateway. Money moves directly between participants and organizers (for example via UPI or cash). EventUtils only records what users report and does not hold, process or transfer funds.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or record a payment.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything done under your account.
- You must provide accurate information. Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of the events, amounts and participant details they enter.
3. Organizer responsibilities
- You confirm you have the right to collect contributions for your event and to add participants' names and contact details.
- You are responsible for reviewing and approving payment records, and for how you use the money you collect. EventUtils does not verify that funds are spent as described.
- When you invite team members (admins, editors, viewers), you are responsible for choosing people you trust. Their actions on your event are recorded in the activity log.
- You must comply with applicable laws, including tax obligations on money you collect.
4. Participant responsibilities
- Only record payments you have actually made. Uploading false or edited payment screenshots is fraud and may be reported.
- A payment you record is visible to the event organizer and their team, and your payment status may be shown on the event's public page.
- Disputes about amounts, approvals or refunds are between you and the organizer — EventUtils only keeps the record.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use EventUtils to:
- Collect money for illegal, fraudulent or misleading purposes.
- Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene or infringes others' rights.
- Impersonate another person, or add people's contact details without a legitimate reason.
- Attempt to access other users' data, probe security, or disrupt the service.
- Scrape or bulk-copy public event pages.
We may suspend or remove accounts and events that break these rules, and report illegal activity to authorities.
6. Plans and pricing
EventUtils is priced per event: free for events up to 15 participants, ₹49 for 16–50, ₹99 for 51–100, ₹199 for 101–250, and custom pricing for larger or enterprise needs. Prices are in Indian Rupees and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Paid features, once activated for an event, are non-refundable except where required by law.
7. Intellectual property
You keep ownership of the content you upload (event details, images, screenshots). You grant EventUtils a limited licence to store, display and process that content solely to provide the service — for example showing your banner on your event page or embedding it in your reports. The EventUtils name, logo, design and software belong to us and may not be copied.
8. AI-assisted features
Some features use AI — for example drafting event descriptions and reading payment screenshots to extract amount, reference and date. AI output can be wrong; it is always shown for human review and is never published or approved automatically. You are responsible for checking AI-assisted content before relying on it.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for:
- The accuracy of records entered by organizers or participants.
- Any money collected by organizers, or how it is spent — EventUtils never holds your funds.
- Disputes between organizers, participants or team members.
- Losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the event concerned, or ₹1,000, whichever is higher. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
10. Ending the relationship
You may delete your events or stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to comply with law. On termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms. We will first try to resolve any dispute informally — write to support@eventutils.com and we will respond within 30 days.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The “Last updated” date shows the current version; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
